On April 9, 2025, Eastern International University (EIU), in collaboration with Singapore Polytechnic (SP), held the “Gallery Walk” event, marking the final stage of the Learning Express (LeX) 2025 international partnership program after ten days of intensive fieldwork.
More than just a showcase of presentations and prototypes, the “Gallery Walk” was a journey of connection and sharing between students from the two institutions. At the event, student groups presented their innovative solutions, developed while working alongside local communities in Cu Chi District (Ho Chi Minh City) and Binh Phuoc Province, with a focus on agricultural practices.

Drawing from first-hand observations and deep understanding of the locals’ daily lives, the students proposed three practical solutions: protecting farmers’ health from pesticide exposure; optimizing corn and cashew harvesting processes to boost productivity and income; and promoting sustainable farming models. Each solution aimed to improve quality of life and create positive, lasting impacts for the communities.

Later that afternoon, the LeX 2025 closing ceremony was held at EIU. During the event, Ms. Do Nguyen Phuong Que – Lecturer at the Becamex Business School, expressed her sincere gratitude to SP for selecting EIU as this year’s program partner.
“Through LeX 2025, our students not only learned about Design Thinking but, more importantly, learned to listen, to empathize, to understand another culture, and to take action for the community. I believe we don’t have to wait until we’re perfect or have everything in place – anyone can start contributing now, even through the smallest acts,” said Ms. Phuong Que.
