3. What are the English programs at EIU like?
The English tuition fee is 11,000,000 VND per level for the 2025 intake. The English program consists of 5 levels in total. After enrollment, students are required to take a placement test to be assigned to the appropriate level. New students who already have an IELTS certificate of 6.0 or higher will be exempted from EIU’s English program.
After completing enrollment procedures, the university will organize an English placement test to assess each student’s proficiency and place them in a class suitable for their level. The duration and total tuition fee for English courses will depend on the placement test results. Students will study from the level they are placed into based on their results.
Students are not required to complete all 5 levels. At any point, if a student obtains an IELTS score of 6.0 or above, they will no longer need to continue with the English program.
Students who already hold an IELTS certificate of 6.0 or higher will not be required to take the university’s English courses.
4. How long is the duration of undergraduate programs at EIU?
The program follows the standard 4-year duration as regulated by the Ministry of Education and Training.
(For students who have not yet obtained an IELTS certificate of 6.0, the total study duration will be 5 years.)
The Academic Advising Department is one of EIU’s key distinctions. This department plays an essential role in helping students plan their study roadmap and register for courses suitable to their individual abilities, thereby maximizing learning capacity and optimizing each student’s study time at EIU.
The average study duration for an EIU student is 4 – 5 years, including 1 year of English study and 4 years of major courses. However, the time spent on English courses depends on each student’s placement test results, and the duration for major courses depends on each student’s study progress (i.e., the number of courses registered per semester).
For Business Administration students, progression into major courses also depends on achieving a minimum IELTS score of 6.0, as this is a mandatory requirement for entry into the major.
Each student’s completion time may vary. Throughout their studies, students will receive continuous support and guidance from the Academic Advising Department in course registration and planning an appropriate study pathway to maximize learning capacity and optimize study duration.
