On April 21, at Eastern International University (EIU), Becamex IDC Corporation, in collaboration with the Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC) under A*STAR (Singapore), hosted a seminar titled “Building Future – Ready Enterprises.” The event attracted experts, business leaders, and researchers, aiming to promote innovation and technology application in building smart and sustainable enterprises.
Dr. Ngo Minh Duc – President of EIU delivered the opening remarks at the seminar.
In his opening speech, Dr. Ngô Minh Đức emphasized that through insights shared by experts from ARTC and EIU’s Industry 4.0 Innovation Center, the seminar would serve as a platform for experts, businesses, and researchers to exchange experiences, initiatives, and innovative solutions toward building smart enterprises and sustainable development.

At the seminar, Dr. Andy Lee – Director of ARTC provided an overview of ARTC and its collaboration ecosystem with industry partners. He also clarified the role of A*STAR in supporting businesses in strengthening their research capabilities, promoting innovation, and facilitating technology transfer. ARTC operates based on a global and local partner network model with over 80 participating companies, focusing on key areas such as remanufacturing technologies, industrial automation and robotics, advanced data analytics in manufacturing, sustainable manufacturing, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
Mr. Prashant Chhaya – Senior FMCG Expert at ARTC presented successful implementations in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.
Sharing successful implementations in the FMCG industry, Mr. Prashant Chhaya stated that key achievements include optimizing production processes, applying automation technologies, and using big data analytics to enhance operational efficiency. In addition, ARTC has helped FMCG companies improve their supply chains by applying advanced technologies, thereby reducing costs, improving product quality, and quickly responding to market changes. These initiatives not only help businesses maintain a competitive edge but also promote the adoption of sustainable and environmentally friendly manufacturing solutions.
Ms. Tan Yee Shee – Manager of the Sustainability Technology Group at ARTC discussed ARTC’s major progress in its sustainability journey.
On this occasion, Ms. Tan Yee Shee also shared highlights of ARTC’s sustainability journey. According to her, ARTC is implementing a range of advanced technologies to reduce carbon emissions, optimize production efficiency, and promote a circular economy in the manufacturing sector.
Dr. Le Ngoc Huan – Director of the Industry 4.0 Innovation Center introduced the SIRI Framework for assessing SMART i4.0 readiness in enterprises.
As part of the seminar, Dr. Lê Ngọc Huẩn also shared the university’s efforts in raising awareness about applying Industry 4.0 technologies to enhance productivity and efficiency. He introduced the SIRI Framework as a tool to assess the SMART i4.0 readiness level of enterprises.
The “Building Future – Ready Enterprises” seminar not only provided knowledge on technology and innovation but also opened up opportunities for collaboration, supporting enterprises in enhancing their competitiveness and moving toward sustainable development.
